been off playing on facebook

Been playing with an old friend on facebook - will be back soon

Still sewing away

some stichery......

Over the weekend I replaced the broken TV in the gremlin's room. However it cost a little more than I had bargained for so instead of going in his room, it's in my room.

(If you knew me you would be killing yourself laughing at that - it's a major no-no)

Anyway this led to me going to bed last night with a Doris Day movie, my sketchbook, some linen and thread.

This was the result. Real embroidery not just running stitch for a change.

I ordered a business card - and I'm doing a market

Inspired by Willy Wagtail I ordered some business cards - mainly to make me remember that sewing makes me happy and I'm a better person if I do some sewing, plus I kinda liked the design. I figure if nothing else I have something cute to stick in swaps and giveaways!
And my girlfriend rang up and reminded me I'd agreed to do a market with her in October.
Which has lead to huge anxiety attacks.
How does one charge for handmade things? Specially when I have never kept any records on how much anything cost anyway.
Should I be using 'new' material or 'upcycling'?
How much stuff do I need to make? Should I go for variety or quantity? (I have figured out that a production line setup leads to more finished products)
Should I have a trial run and list something on ebay?
What happens if no-one buys anything?
And should I cut and dye my hair so I look like a hip, with it person who has a right to try and sell handmade accessories? Instead of just a crazed mum of two............
